Selle SMP’s patented T4 Triathlon Racing Saddle arises from extensive studies which analyzed the different positions used by cyclists in the various phases of a ride.

They looked at the constant interaction between the body and saddle with reference to both performance and comfort.

Based on these studies, Selle SMP designed their saddles to prevent the genitals from getting squashed and to increase the blood flow to the leg muscles.*

The central channel of the saddle varies in width to contour the body and allows continuous circulation of blood flow in the prostate, artery of the penis, scrotum and testicles.

The front section of the saddle, with its beak-shaped design, offers excellent support when pedaling hard.

The design of the outer mid-section is shaped to follow your thigh muscles to maximize blood circulation and pedaling power.

The overall weight of the rider is distributed throughout the saddle to offer comfort without sacrificing performance.

T4 is recommended for people with a medium sized pelvis.

The widest adjustment range available on the market, allowing you to identify the perfect saddle advancement position towards in relation to the handlebars – typical of triathlon.

CENTRAL CHANNEL

As a result of extensive biomechanic studies on saddle positioning and on the structure of the human pelvis, the channel is
distributed over the length of the saddle.

Irrespective of the position of the triathlete, this prevents compression of the perineal structures.

It promotes very good aeration of the genital area and water drainage.

REAR LOGO

The structure of the rear Selle SMP logo, with its unique reflecting properties, provides optimum rear support for the bike at transition area parking.

“EAGLE BEAK” TIP

The exclusive and patented configuration of the nose prevents crushing of the uro-genital area, even with extremely low handlebar positions typical of triathlete riders.

It also enables you to safely and firmly park the bike on the bike parking tube frame at transition areas.

SITTING POSITION
