Description
The Soma Grand Randonneur is a road Touring frame optimized to carry a front load.
Soma equipped it with rear rack mounts, but it feels best with a front load only.
This is version 3 of the “Grando” and it includes the following updates:
- The geometry is still low trail in the front, but Soma made the handling slightly more stable than prior versions.
- Soma tweaked the tubing mix to add stiffness at the bottom bracket, while still keeping this frame their lightest model.
- Soma added IS disc mounts and thru-axle hubs compatibility – as everyone wants just slightly more tire clearance.
- With skinny steel tubes and a 1″ threaded lugged crown fork, the Grand Randonneur still has the vintage road bike look.
